~ Bridging three players through AI learning ~

A place where students, alumni, and local SMEs meet

[Students] [Alumni] [Companies]
Why bridge them

As AI starts to rewrite how work gets done, university students, working alumni, and local small and medium-sized businesses are each facing the same wave from different positions. Yet there has been no shared space where these three can exchange AI knowledge and learning as equals.

Students today

University students who are starting to think about their careers want real-world experience outside the classroom — but accessible places to get involved nearby are limited. There’s no obvious way to put their AI skills to work at local companies in a way that fits them.

Alumni today

Alumni in the workforce carry two pressures at once: making their own company more efficient, and updating their own careers. Contact with current students from their alma mater is surprisingly thin, and there is no clear path to bring the AI skills growing on campus into their day-to-day work.

Local SMEs today

Local small and medium-sized businesses, facing an aging workforce and labor shortages, urgently need ways to make their operations more efficient. They want to move toward office automation, then DX, then AX (AI Transformation) — but hiring young AI talent in-house is rarely an option.

AI learning as a shared language

AI is new to everyone. Regardless of age or position — student, alumni, or business owner — it is something we can all approach from zero, together. That makes it the most natural common language for connecting these three groups.

What each one gains

When Terakoya brings these three groups together, each gains something different. Connections anchored in AI learning ripple through job hunting, careers, and organizational change.

Students — Real experience and a portfolio

Students learn AI on Terakoya, then find postings and invitations from local companies on the Hub, and join them as AI interns. Real-world experience the classroom cannot provide becomes a portfolio that strengthens their job search.

Alumni — Hiring from their alma mater, learning again

From the Hub, alumni announce their company’s AI internship openings and learning programs to current students at their alma mater. They bring the AI skills of younger people into their own company’s DX/AX efforts while continuing to learn on Terakoya themselves.

Local SMEs — Young AI talent and organizational change

SMEs publish their organization profile, job postings, and learning programs on the Hub. Connecting directly with Terakoya users, they bring in AI skills from the younger generation and turn labor shortages and an aging workforce from a headwind into a tailwind — from office automation to DX, and on to AX.

The two products we run

To connect the three groups, we run two products. Each is shaped for one side — individuals (students, alumni, working professionals) on one, and organizations (universities, companies) on the other.

Two products, one bridge

Terakoya is a mobile learning community app for iOS and Android. Individuals — students, alumni, and working professionals — take AI courses, share what they are learning, chat with peers, and follow organizations.

Terakoya Hub is a web app for organizations such as universities and companies. They manage their organization profile, publish posts, communicate directly with their individual followers, build community through open chats, and manage members. It serves as a place to announce internships and learning programs.

The two products work together, so that individuals and organizations naturally meet and engage through AI learning.
